Capital Accelerator Program (CAP) Description
The mission of CAP is to provide high potential and high impact startups with access to the resources and environment they need to reach their fundraising goals. ePowerhouse also has strong connections to Chinese government/incubators/funding opportunities/investors, and can introduce you to the necessary connections to expand to China.
The CAP participants can be located anywhere in the US, and up to 10 finalists will be selected to participate in our CAP. All finalists must fit certain requirements, as well as agreeing to the terms and agreements prior to starting the program.
Startup Benefits:
- Potential expansion to China market with generous investment packages
- You execute to get customers/revenues, we bring a group of investors to you to save you time on hunting for investors
- We offer the same program to offsite participants, you can participate in CAP from anywhere in the United States, and pitch to a group of investors can be done
- Mock trial pitch to the expert judges so you know how fundable your startup is, strengths and weakness during the pitch. All judges will put on their investor hats
- You can request for one on one consulting, we connect you to experts who is willing to work on a deferred payment system
- Public demo day to promote your product to the community; creating buzz for your startup
- Press release/media coverage of your startup
Startup Eligibility Requirements:
Startups from all industries are welcome to apply, however:
- The startup must have completed at least a prototype/beta or a final product
- The startup is actively searching for startup capital (Seed/Angel funding)
- The startup must had some previous tractions either in revenue or customer base in the past 3-6 months, and is able to scale up for more tractions in the upcoming 3-6 months

Semester 1 Timelines:
Terms and Agreement:
- If the finalist raises any capital while participating in CAP or for a period of one year after terminating participation, the finalist agrees to pay the program fee at a deferred payment option. The program fee ranges from $2K - 10K depending on the fundraising amount. Each finalist is obligated to notify ePowerhouse of all active investors whom they pitched to in the past 3 months. ePowerhouse waives the program fee if the investment source did not come from any of CAP's connections.
- Any deferred payment with service providers/consultants is a separate mutual agreement not affiliated with ePowerhouse. ePowerhouse will try to help the finalists attract such experts who can work with the deferred payment system.
- All finalists can remain in CAP till ePowerhouse helps them achieve their fundraising goals.
FAQ:
If I am already participating other incubator programs, why should I participate in CAP?
The CAP is designed to be extremely flexible for startups trying to raise capital. If you are participating in any other incubator program, this will only increase your chance of success in raising capital through CAP as it builds towards your traction when you pitch to investors. We don't require your physical presence and is not time intensive; CAP is designed so that you can better understand your business's strengths and weaknesses before we introduce you the opportunities to pitch in front of more investors outside of your network.
Is CAP only Boston based?
At this stage, we encourage innovation based startups from all over United States to apply. As our investor database grows, we may open up to international startups in future.
How will I present my pitch if I am not in Boston or can't make the pitch sessions?
If you can make the pitch sessions in person, the most preferred method of pitching is video recording with slides.
What's unique about CAP?
Rather than you spend the time to track down investors one at a time, we bring the investors from your field to you in groups. We can give you an opportunity to do a mock pitch to experienced judges, whom will help you get to know your strengths and weaknesses of your business pitch, this is the best time to make mistakes and learn. We will also aggregate experts with different expertise to provide one on one help at a deferred payment system. We will help you create buzz by featuring your products to the community and invite media to cover stories on your success. The most unique part of CAP is that we act as a bridge to China and provide the necessary connections for your business to enter Chinese market. ePowerhouse has strong connections to Chinese government, strategic partners, and service providers.
Is it free to apply?
The program fee ranges from $2K-10K depends on the amount of capital you are raising. You will pay for the program fee only if ePowerhouse has provided the right connections that achieved your fundraising goals.
Who are the judges?
All judges we select are successful serial entrepreneurs, senior executives, or investors. Every judge must be able to comfortably putting on their investor hats to contribute valuable feedback for the startups.
This sounds so great, what's the catch?
There is no catch. ePowerhouse started CAP to tackle one of the top challenges that almost every entrepreneur will face, it's part of our mission to make entrepreneurship easier.
